Description: This 1.5-day workshop provides a practical overview of federal procurement requirements for organizations receiving federal transit funding. Participants will review the key elements of a compliant procurement policy and learn how to apply federal requirements to micro-purchases, small purchases, and large procurements. The training will also cover Buy America requirements, System for Award Management (SAM) verification, and proper procurement documentation and recordkeeping. Through discussion and practical examples, participants will gain a clear understanding of the steps and forms needed to conduct compliant procurements and maintain required documentation.
